And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. - Ephesians 5:11
Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. - 2 Corinthians 11:14-15
I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. - Acts 20:29-30

Key Points :
1.Our fight is a spiritual one not a physical one:
2. Christians are to love Muslims, Catholics, Protestants and every other human being, no matter what their beliefs are and no matter how wrong or evil their action or beliefs may be!
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. - Ephesians 6:12

Pagan Gods = Demons
In order to rule both pagans and Christians, the Catholic Church compromised Christianity, mixing in pagan rites, doctrines, symbols and belief into the Catholic church.
Edict of Milan - 312 AD Constantine legalized Christianity for political reasons. Evidence indicates he retained his personal paganism. Retained title of Supreme Pontiff ( High Priest of Mystery Religion). Changed Jewish/Christian? Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, the pagan day to worship the sun. From the beginning, error and corruption entered the church. Church leaders were manipulated with wealth and power.
376 AD - Emperor Gratian, 1st emperor to refuse title of Supreme Pontiff. Outlawed paganism in the Empire except for the city of Rome.
Just 2 years later - 378 AD - Bishop Damascus of Rome ( Pope Damascus ) took the title of Supreme Pontiff and declared himself as leader over both Christian and pagan religions.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. - John 14: 6

Great Examples of Faith
35 But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection. 36 Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons. 37 Some died by stoning, some were sawed in half, and others were killed with the sword. Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and mistreated. 38 They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground.
Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. - John 18: 36

Paganism polluted the Catholic church:
Key Point:
There are two competing kingdoms, if it's not of God's kingdom, it's of Satan's
Christianity was monotheistic (one God) BUT paganism was polytheistic (many gods). The pagan did not want to give up their gallery of sacred "gods". Therefore the Catholic church converted the pagan Gods into Catholic Saints who could be prayed to. (In the Bible there is only small "s" saints which refers to ALL true believers.) The people were allowed to keep their old idols, just asked to call them by different names ("Saints"). (Many of the old statutes in European churches representing Saints and apostles are actually pagan statues )
Pagan holidays and festivals were also retained with a change of name:
Saturnalia (Dec 25th - (winter solstice) "birthday of the unconquered sun/Nimrod/Isis/Asherah") = Christmas
Spring equinox festival recognizing Ishtar (Eastre in Gaelic) = Easter
Lent - part of the Babylonian spring festival - no Biblical basis
Samhain (day to honor demons/Satan) = All Souls and Saints Day/ Halloween

Warnings against False Teachers
1 Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. 2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. [or seared]
3 They will say it is wrong to be married (celibacy in the church) and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth.

Pagan Sun Wheels
Key Point:
1. The church is always referred to as a woman in the Bible - The true church is represented as a bride of Christ, without stain or wrinkle. Therefore, in the Bible, a prostitute metaphorically represents a false church or religious system.

Faith Without Works Is Dead
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your[a] works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?

Babylon, the Prostitute on the Beast
17 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters. 2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.”
3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. 5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery:
Babylon the great, the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.
6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.
Jeremiah 7:18-19
18 The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger. 19 But am I the one they are provoking? declares the Lord. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame?
There is even a rite in the Catholic Church that involves crowning statues (idols) of Mary as the Queen of heaven. Once placed on a statue, the crown remains permanently.
Here is the crowned statue of Mary in the Notre Dame du Cap, Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec, Canada. Crowned in 1904 at the orders of Pope Pius X, it is the only statue of Mary to be crowned in all of Canada. The title of Queen of Heaven can also be found in scripture, but not in reference to Mary.
Exodus 20: 4-6
4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

Key Points:
1.Works based religion is not of God. Salvation comes by faith alone (But do not misunderstand this - Salvation IS by faith - but if the salvation is genuine, over time, there should be a noticeable change in the way we think and what we do.
2. Works based religion leads to feelings of either pride or worthlessness and guilt.3. In occultism there is always a double meaning for symbols: a false simingly light and good meaning and a true dark meaning.
James 2:14-26

Idolatry in the Temple
12 He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? They say, ‘The Lord does not see us; the Lord has forsaken the land.’” 13 Again, he said, “You will see them doing things that are even more detestable.”
14 Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the Lord, and I saw women sitting there, mourning the god Tammuz. 15 He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? You will see things that are even more detestable than this.”
16 He then brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and there at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men. With their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the sun in the east.
17 He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually arouse my anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose! 18 Therefore I will deal with them in anger; I will not look on them with pity or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.”
The Catholic teaching that during the mass Jesus is pulled down from heaven to be sacrificed over and over again is NOT taught in the Bible - In fact, the Bible specifically states otherwise !
For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. 25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many . . . 12 But when this priest [Jesus] had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Saturno hat that honors the "god' Saturn
Dagon was an ancient "god" (fallen angel), whose worship started in ancient Babylon with Nimrod its Founder. The earliest of priests of Dagon, were noted for wearing a head covering that resembled the open mouth of a Fish. These head coverings were known as "Mitre" Hats. Some more elaborate displays of this Ancient Fish worship were found were the priests also wore a robe that was an extension of the hat and closely resembled how the fish would look if it had been split open and placed upon the priest's head and back. (pictured in the center of this display)
As Christendom adopted this Mitre Hat for her priests, the "Fishy" aspect of this pagan worship was toned down so as not to offend the newly converted Christians who were tricked into many pagan ceremonies and holidays of the pagan Romans.
The Philistines and the Ark
5 Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. 2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon. 3 And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. 4 And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the Lord. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagon’s torso was left of it. 5 Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon’s house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.
6 But the hand of the Lord was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and He ravaged them and struck them with tumors, both Ashdod and its territory. 7 And when the men of Ashdod saw how it was, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel must not remain with us, for His hand is harsh toward us and Dagon our god.”
Bent /Broken /Twisted Cross
This Bent /Broken /Twisted Crucifix is "... a sinister symbol, used by Satanists in the sixth century, that had been revived at the time of Vatican Two. This was a bent or broken cross, on which was displayed a repulsive and distorted figure of Christ, which the black magicians and sorcerers of the Middle Ages had made use of to represent the Biblical term 'Mark of the Beast'. Yet, not only Paul VI, but his successors, the two John-Pauls, carried that object and held it up to be revered by crowds, who had not the slightest idea that it stood for anti-Christ." (p. 72)

7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. . . 12 Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! Many Muslim leaders oppose research into pre-Islamie Arabian religion. But Western scholars have done it for them. What they have found is quite a blow to Islam. In the last 100 years or so, archeologists have gained a pretty clear picture of what the religion of the Arabians was like before and during Muhammad’s lifetime.
Long before Muhammad was born, the Kaba was the home of 360 idols. One of these idols was the moon god. He was considered to be the most powerful of the gods of the Arabs. He had several names. He was often called “al ilah” or “the god.” The poets called him Allah. In fact, the Kaba was called, “The House of Allah” before Muhammad was born. This is because he was the chief god of the Kaba. The idols there were called the daughters of Allah and intercessors in pre-Islamic times. His symbol was a crescent moon. In fact the crescent moon has been found on all kinds of objects everywhere in the ancient world. The moon god cult was quite pervasive in ancient times.
Allah was a god that was especially worshipped by Muhammad’s Quaraysh tribe. The Encyclopedic Dictionary of Religion says, “The Quaraysh tribe to which Muhammad belonged to was devoted to Allah, but allowed worship of other gods in the Kaba until Muhammad removed them.”
Muhammad’s father was named Abdallah meaning “The servant of Allah.” His uncle was named Obied-Allah.
Muhammad’s grandfather had vowed to sacrifice his son to Allah if he granted him protection from his enemies. When it came time to make good on his promise, he cast lots to see which son he should sacrifice. The lot fell on Abdallah, Muhammad’s father. As he prepared to slaughter him, people began to complain. After consulting a sorceress, it was decided that several camels could be sacrificed instead. From that time on, Abdallah was dedicated to Allah. When he grew up, he fathered Muhammad.
Hosting’s Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics says the following under the article Allah:
“Muhammad found the Meccans believing in a supreme God whom they called Allah …Muhammad’s reform was to assert the solitary existence of Allah. The first article of the Muslim creed, therefore, – La ilaha illa-llahu — means only as addressed by him to the Meccans, ‘there exists no God except the one whom you already called Allah.”

Plan A - Manipulation (While in Mecca):
- Writings peaceful towards Jews and Christians
- Like the Catholic church, wanting as many followers as possible, Muhammad wanted to be inclusive: To the Christians and Jews, he claimed Allah to be the same as the Christian/Jewish God and to the pagans he presented Allah as the Moon god they had always known.
But Christians and Jews did not accept this explanation.
Plan B - Intimidation and Persecution (Medina)
- Writings now called for the slaughter of the Jews and Christian
The Principle of Abrogation in the Quran
The Quran's doctrine of abrogation
The Quran's doctrine of abrogation
From an Essay from Michael Mannheimer, Germany, March 23, 2010
The trick behind the apparent inconsistency of the Quran and why the radical Muslims are always correct: Like no other holy book among the world religions, the Quran contains an abundance of contradictory expressions. What is forbidden in one place is expressly demanded in another, and vice versa. However, the contradictory quality of the Quran is only an apparent one. It falls apart abruptly when one recognizes the very carefully protected secret hidden within the architecture of the Quran. For the Quranic Suras (chapters) are not arranged chronologically, but rather according to their length – and the newer [latter] Suras (from Muhammad’s violent later phase when he was in Medina) override the older ones from his era in Mecca that were comparatively more peaceful. However, this secret is guarded by Islamic scholars very closely as if it were a holy grail – and is aired only on particular occasions.
Ibn Ishaq: 992 - "Fight everyone in the way of Allah and kill those who disbelieve in Allah."
Qur'an Sura (9:5) "fight and slay the pagans (or infidels or unbelievers) wherever you find them?"
Qur’an Sura 5:33 "Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land."
Qur'an Sura (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah"
Qur'an Sura 60:4, “We disbelieve in you (Jews, Christians and Infidels) and there has arisen enmity and hatred between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone….”

Key Points:
1. Be wary of the ecumenical movement creating peace between religions by compromise

Donation of Constantine
(Please do your own research!)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donation_of_Constantine
The Donation of Constantine (Latin, Donatio Constantini) is a forged Roman imperial decree by which the emperor Constantine I supposedly transferred authority over Rome and the western part of the Roman Empire to the Pope. Composed probably in the 8th century, it was used, especially in the 13th century, in support of claims of political authority by the papacy. Lorenzo Valla, an Italian Catholic priest and Renaissance humanist, is credited with first exposing the forgery with solid philological arguments in 1439–1440, although the document's authenticity had been repeatedly contested since 1001.
In many manuscripts, including the oldest one, the document bears the title Constitutum domini Constantini imperatoris.
The text, purportedly a decree of Roman Emperor Constantine I dated 30 March, in a year mistakenly said to be both that of his fourth consulate (315) and that of the consulate of Gallicanus (317), contains a detailed profession of Christian faith and a recounting of how the emperor, seeking a cure of his leprosy, was converted and baptized by Pope Sylvester I. In gratitude, the forged document states that he determined to bestow on the see of Peter "power, and dignity of glory, and vigour, and honour imperial", and "supremacy as well over the four principal sees, Alexandria, Antioch, Jerusalem, and Constantinople, as also over all the churches of God in the whole earth".
Purgatory - Selling Indulgences - "As soon as the coin in the coffer rings the troubled soul from purgatory springs"
Rome invented numerous ways to make and extort money from the people. Using the hope of heavenly reward and the fear of Hell and Purgatory - Rome devised a system by which people would give their money to the church - in exchange for a lighter punishment for their sins. The people were
encouraged to purchase Mass Cards for their deceased friends and relatives.
The Mass cards sold at Funerals - were said to shorten their time in "Purgatory" and were said to get them to heaven much quicker. Each Mass Card had different prices. The cheaper cards purchased
would provide fewer prayers or Masses for the benefit of the deceased. The more expensive Mass
Cards - purchased a larger amount of prayers or Masses to be said for the benefit of the deceased.
The reasoning here - was that the more money spent on Mass Cards - would pay for more prayers to be offered by the Bishops or Priests. And this would in turn - cut down the amount of time that the
deceased would have to spend in Purgatory.
This of course is Religious Extortion. We are judged by our deeds and not by the amount of prayers said in our behalf by a priest. A place in heaven is not bought with money - neither is punishment increased or decreased because of a money transaction.
The sale of indulgences or a pilgrimages to a holy place has no affect on our redemption - regardless of how much money is donated or spent in these efforts.

Unfortunately, just like con artists, people hungry for power have always been around!
Our modern day Bible was complete….all finished and translated in to 500 languages by 500 AD. Can you believe that? 500 languages!!
One of the languages was Latin….it was translated to Latin in 382 AD. It was called the Latin Vulgate Bible, Vulgate meaning common.
In 600 AD every Bible translation was outlawed except….Latin Vulgate. If someone was caught with another translation…they were executed! Yes, executed! Now, you may be asking yourself….why?
In 600 AD, there was still only one church, Catholic. Catholic means Universal. The priests were fluent in Latin so they were the only ones who could read it….they could tell everyone else what the Bible said and no one would be the wiser. Of course, there were others who could read/understand Latin but not enough to make a difference.
Pope Leo X has two quotes that just drive me crazy….
1. ”The fable of Christ has been quite profitable for us”
2. ”As soon as the coin in the coffer rings, the troubled soul from purgatory springs!” Yes, they convinced people to pay money to get their loved ones in to heaven. Coffer meaning offering plate.
The other thing he started… ”selling of the indulgences” , yes, it is as bad as it sounds. Sin - then pay money and be forgiven. . . OR … Sin - then pay MORE money, be forgiven AND be allowed to continue sinning.
Please do not get me wrong…I am not downing the Catholic church at all…every organization has good and bad, this is just a part of history.
By the late 1300′s John Wycliffe wanted every person to have the opportunity to read the Bible. He, with help, translated the Latin Vulgate back to English…he copied every word by hand!
In 1525 the first English Bible is printed (not by hand) by William Tyndale, he translated it from German.
In 1539, King Henry VIII wanted to divorce his wife and marry his mistress. The Pope told him no. This made the king mad, so he just decided he wouldn’t be Catholic anymore and would start his own church. He started the Church of England, also known as the Anglican Church and made himself the head.
In 1560 the Geneva Bible was published…it was the first Bible to add numbered verses and notes on the side. This was the first study Bible. This was also the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America! It went out of print in 1633 but reprints are now available.
In 1604 King James I became King after Queen Elizabeth died…thank goodness, she was horrible!
The clergy wanted the Bible to be available for everyone and asked the King to make it happen.
The Geneva Study Bible was great but the notes in the margins made it controversial so….for about 6 years a bunch of scholars worked to study and develop the King James Bible. They used about 5 different translations. The first King James Bibles were printed in 1611 and were 16 inches tall, there was one chained to every pulpit in England. Eventually, smaller versions were made available.
That was just the beginning of Bible translations! There are now a LOT of translations available and it can be overwhelming!
Some Bibles translate word-for-word, others thought-by-thought. If you are buying a Bible for someone….their reading level and their knowledge of the Bible helps determine which Bible is best for them.
It really does matter which translation you use….YOU have to be able to understand it. I encourage you to read from more than one translation.
Here is a great article I found about the different translations…it gives information on the word-for-word, though-for-thought, etc.
I found two charts that compare reading levels, translation types and show sample verses from different translations. I am including both because they are a little different.

Celibacy:
"But at the same time the [Second Vatican] Council did not hesitate to confirm solemnly the ancient, sacred and providential present law of priestly celibacy." (Vatican Council II Vol. 2, p. 290)
Are priests to marry?
Why is there sexual immorality in a Church? Most often it is because someone who burns with passion needs to married. Paul answers this in 1 Cor. 7:2-3 "Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband."
Look at what has happened when they are frustrated in something God commands is good. Because they have forbidden the priests to marry they have a high percentage of improper sexual conduct. This can include children as well. This is not to impugn specifically the Roman Catholic Church. There are other Churches as well that forbid people to marry and make men or woman remain single when they are unable to do so.
The qualifications of a priest/bishop do not forbid being married. The Greek word for bishop is episkopos, is translated in different Bibles using the same word elder, presbyter, bishop, priest. Titus 1:5-6 "As I instructed you, a bishop (priest) must be irreproachable, married only once, the father of children who are believers."
The only thing that would disqualify them to be a priest is to be married to more than one wife. 1 Tim. 3:2-4: "A bishop (priest) then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, ... having his children in submission with all reverence."
Requiring celibacy is forbidden by Scripture. Paul writes in 1 Tim. 4 to deny a priest to marry is not a teaching from God but a teaching from a demonic source. 1 Tim. 4:1-5: "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer." If you can eat any kind of food on any day, you also can marry. (remember they could not eat meat on Friday). Priest or not being a priest excludes personal choice in one being married. But Roman Catholicism has it by law not choice, and they connect it to their tradition which is suppose to be alongside the Scripture. History shows us that the enforcement of celibacy for priests began in 1123. So it is their church law, not a biblical law.
"If anyone says the married state is to be place above the state of virginity or of celibacy and that it is not better and more blessed to remain in virginity and celibacy than to be united in matrimony, let him be anathema." [accursed!] (Council of Trent Nov.11, 1563) The Bible states it is not good that man should be alone. The idea of one being single is a spiritual gift it is not the norm.
Heb 13:4 says, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled." The Catholic Church recognizes marriage as a Sacrament and encourages people to be married. But not with the priesthood.
Look at the fruit of their prohibition today, frustration which often can end up in child molestation or homosexuality. This is not my point of view but the News that continues to report their findings. Jesus said his commands were not burdensome but freeing.
Arguments such as Matthew 19:11-12 "For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it." Notice it is someone who has no pro creative abilities or those who have later dedicated themselves. But this has nothing to do with leadership in the Church.
Paul also speaks of those who can remain single as a spiritual gift. Paul writes in 1 Timothy 3:2 "A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife." Being married was not a requirement because Paul was a single elder, but neither was celibacy required. But the natural order is marriage- not forbidding to marry, for anyone (except in the case of divorce).
Catholics consider Peter to be the first Pope and the Scriptures tell us Peter was married (Matthew 8:14), but the Popes cannot marry. 1 Tim.3 says bishops can be married, Catholic tradition challenges this and says no. The apostle Peter who they consider their first Pope brought his wife with him. The Apostle Paul writes that all the apostles except himself were married. 1 Corinthians 9:5 "Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?" Peter and the other apostles were living with their wives! The overall view of Catholicism toward sexuality is thoroughly unbiblical and prudish. Just look at the sexual improprieties among the priesthood which are now becoming known. Then we can understand the seriousness of the problem of practicing this unbiblical teaching. When men pervert biblical teaching, it always results in serious consequences in real life. Practices of asceticism, such as monasticism and celibacy of the clergy neither promote spiritual growth nor helpful in avoiding sin (Col. 2:20-23).
