Tragic Story with a Redemptive Ending

In January 2003, a 9-year old boy named Tyler Doughtie was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. He got 30 radiation treatments over four months, but doctors couldn't stop it from taking over his brain. So tragic.
But get this - all the while Tyler had cancer, he wrote letters addressed to God and actually put them in the mailbox. The amazing thing is that the postal carrier Brady McDaniels started reading the letters and gave his life to Jesus as a result. Tyler died on March 7, 2005.
A film has been made about this boy's story called Letters to God.

The Hope of the Resurrection
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Jesus Foretells the Future

For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. 43 Understand this: If a homeowner/shepherd knew exactly when a burglar/thief was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. 44 You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.

PLEASE NOTE: This series is based on the belief that the RAPTURE takes place before the beginning of the 7 year tribulation period spoken of in the book of Revelation. However many Bible believers to not believe this to be accurate. Many believe that we will not be raptured until the end of the 1st 3 1/2 years as the last trumpet in the trumpet judgement sounds - "at the last trump" .
Whatever you believe, we should not be divided on this issue BUT we should keep our minds open. After all, both cannot be correct. If we are not opened minded on this issue those who believe in the rapture 3 1/2 years into the Tribulation may not be ready for Christ's return and may put off the decision to accept Christ as their Savior AND Lord until it is too late. Those who believe that Christ will come before the Tribulation may lose faith in the Bible and Christ if they find themselves in the midst of the seal and trumpet judgements.
Whatever happens, whenever it happens, we must keep faith and know that just because we have not interpreted the time of the rapture correctly, does not mean that Christ has forsaken us !
